It was never intended for a Steam release and as a result used assets from other creators (Promod maps were used as the base for several of the maps, and many of the weapon models in the earlier versions of the mod were taken from Gamebanana.) Not only did we basically have to start from scratch to assure that all of our work would be completely our own, but we wanted to assure that the quality of the mod would be greatly improved from the original release. The original mod started out as a fun little project made completely by one guy, ZooL. Many people assumed for the Steam release of the mod we would simply bring over the existing mod adding a couple of maps and we'd be ready to go. All of these features have been remade from scratch for the Steam version. New player models, enhanced classic weapon sounds, completely revamped weapon balance, enhanced bot support, and other gameplay enhancements such as powerful, revamped wallbanging. We plan to release with 5 defusal maps (Dust2, Inferno, Train, Nuke, and Mirage) and a few fightyard style maps such as Iceworld. What can we expect from the Steam release?
